The land is fully fenced and below the house is an area of approximately 1/2 acre with 7 wide terraces running down to the river, which is the lower boundary of the land. At present some of the terracing is used to grow a variety of vegetables and fruit and there is ample space for keeping chickens or other small livestock if desired.


The property and land are well provided with water.  Domestic water is via a spring which arises higher up the mountain and is piped into an 8 (approximately) cubic metre water tank adjoining the boiler house. The house water is of excellent quality and safe and pleasant to drink.


Numerous ferries operate between the islands of the Cyclades, allowing easy access to the mainland or other islands.


The island is popular in the spring and early summer months with walkers.
